Default Help a Noob Decide

I have read the sticked FAQ but I still have a few basic questions as I'm a total newb to car audio stuff.

I want a new head unit and I really want the Sony CDX-GT240 because it's only $79 and I'm not looking for large power outputs or fancy features, just a nice looking, affordable, simple CD player.

The question is how can I find out if it fits the S2000? I've read through it's manual online and searched S2KI for that specific HU without any info. The manual shows a picture of the dimensions of the HU as 182mm x 53mm. Would that be my only way to try and figure out if it will fit?

Also, if I use this head unit, which is a 52Wx4, will it blow my OEM Honda speakers if I crank up the volume, since the original head unit is a 20Wx4?

Any helpful info on the fitment of head units will be appreciated as well as any other entry level head units 100% known to fit without modification.

if its a single DIN head unit then it will fit, and not it will not blow the stock speakers... and it's not actually 52Wx4... the real output is probably closer to 15-20W

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I can't wait to install it now. I just hope the previous owner didn't mess with the OEM harness. I hate sloppy wiring jobs.
