Default Help please

Hi All,

New to this Forum.

Have a UK 2000 S2000 and need a decent system. I have 6" Speakers JL Audio out of my last car and would love to put these in the front doors, will they fit ??

Also have an amp and sub plus head unit and autochanger...will the sub sound OK ?

I have seen many S2000 on here with Subs in the wheel well which are cool but I have a box which I quite fancy keeping as it is perfect for the sub and can be removed very easy.

Cheers

I believe the front will hold speakers up to 6.5" depending on the depth, so you will just have to make or buy an adapter ring for them to fit. Lucid sells a nice one.

About the speaker box, I can't see why you wouldnt be able to use any box you want, so long as it fits in the trunk and won't slide around.

Good luck man

You should not have any problems getting the JL's installed. You may need a spacer between the speaker and the door to gain some mounting depth, but that's not a big deal. Most people that are using subs are trying to retain as much usable trunk space as possible. If you're willing to sacrafice the trunk space for your existing box, then go for it! You can always build/buy a different box down the road if you find the need. You may also need to fix some rattles that will creep up when you put a sub in the trunk. The most common seems to be the plastic roof well. I can't comment on personal experience, as my sub hasn't shipped yet.
