Default Help on Purchasing a Police Radar

Hey, im looking to buy my brother a police rader for his S. I was wondering wut do i need to look for and when i get it, wut frequency and stuff do i need. Here are a few im looking at. If there are any that are really good, please tell me.

Darn it, I read this thread hoping someone was actually going to buy a "Police" radar gun. When I read you wanted to give it to your brother, I was like "for what?! To shoot at others in S2000s?!"

You want a radar detector, a device that detects Police radar...

I wouldn't buy any of those.

I have owned an 8500 and own a V1.

Those are the two, if you want a detector:

Yep,

Those are the two to own. I have a V1, but would also own an 8500. Both excellent detectors.

If you're going to spend the money, might as well get one that works.

Just make sure if you get the 8500 to get the X50. I've found a lot of local shops (and some mail order shops) selling their old 8500s for the exact same price that you can get the X50.
