OK, I just got my S2K and I'm looking to add some sound. Unfortunately, I haven't been keeping up with car audio equipment since the install of my old system. Therefore, I'm going to need some input from other S2K owners. It seems that many people here have Alpine headunits, so I'm pretty set on getting a 9831 or 9833. I'm looking to spend around $1000 to $1200 at most. What I'm wanting to do is add a high quality 6.5" component set in the doors (one where the tweeters will easily fit in the stock tweeter position in the doors) and a 10" or 12" sub that will fit in the trunk well (as I'm trying to lose as little trunk space as possible). I will then need an amp to power the components and sub. I'd like amps that are as small as possible to take up less space, so one amp may be better than 2. For the components I'm thinking Focal, MB Quart, Crystal? (don't know much about them), and Alpine. For the sub I was thinking maybe a JL W3v2? (not sure how they do in small enclosures). For amps I was thinking JL, Alpine, PPI, Soundstream, Pheonix Gold (dont know much about these either). I should note that what I am looking for from my system is pretty loud volume, but more importantly I want sound quality. I'm more concerned with the components sounding really good then having loud bass. But I do want something that I can hear really well with the top down. Sorry for this being so long but I figure it will be easiest for people to help if they know exactly what I'm looking for. Also, in any recommendations given, places to order the equipment at good prices would be greatly appreciated.
