Default hey guys need input

I'm new to the "electronics" forum but not exactly new to wiring up speakers and amps. MY 2000 has crappy door speakers and I'm looking for a new set-up. I have my top down alot and it seems I can't hear my speakers at all over my v2 intake and 70mm single exhaust. So I want somthing thats alot louder then my stock set-up. I don't want to spend more then $1000 on the whole set up and I also don't want any subs or anything like that (i autox). Although if a small amp is needed for my door speakers I could concider it. Also I would like some tweeters and would need some advice on how to mount them in my 2000 ap1.

So what should I get?

Best bet would be to go test some speakers for yourself. They all have different sounds and sound levels to them.

At minimum I would do a Headunit and speakers, but for some that may not be enough sound/volume.

I'll be adding an Alpine cda-9887 headunit and amping my Digital Design speakers soon!

Speaker selection is always a very subjective thing. If you're going to ask for recommendations then at least post what type(s) of music you listen to and what you look for in speakers. As mentioned above, it's best for you to just go out and listen to some to decide for yourself.
