home stereo help
I got a Samson servo 240 2 channel amp from work for my home theater, problem is, i have a receiver that outputs unbalanced audio over composite rca cables. the amplifier inputs are balanced 1/4" TRS. Can i use this cheaply or is it a lost cause. i can get a matching 2 ch amp for $300.
thanks

hrm... i show the servo 260 offers RCA inputs... bummer. and i can't find the manual for the servo 240 online on the Samson site.
yes, you should be able to use this, you will either need to make some balanced to unbalanced adapters or have a local music shop make them for you... i would suspect a local shop would make these (if they don't stock them) for something like $20-$30 each pair.

[QUOTE]7: Balanced input connectors (left/right) - Connect incoming signal to these electronically balanced 1/4" TRS (Tip/Ring/Sleeve) jacks, wired as follows: Tip hot, Ring cold, and Sleeve ground. Use balanced three-conductor cabling and TRS plugs wherever possible (unbalanced two-conductor plugs can also be inserted into these inputs, but you
