Hey guys. Just in the middle of installing my new viper with a buddy and not sure where to out the hood sensor. I don't want to put it by the radiator sways by the rubber stops because I feel that will come in the way when I add my cooling plate. Any other suggestions?

 

You can put it almost anywhere as long as it pushes down the plunger when the hood closes. You can always drill out the hood bump stop, so its semi hidden.

 

yeah i was thinking about doing that. how about the place where the hood prop goes into? i have hood dampers so i can just remove the plastic peice and put it in there.

 

It might fit there... I cant remember off hand if the plunger will push down far enough in the location. Test it out we can both learn something

 

just installed it yesterday, it works great! i had to get a different size hood pin, but i'm glad with the finish result.

btw, sorry for making two threads. i was on my phone and it was lagging

 

now i just need a spot for the backup battery lol. i was going to put it next to the coolant reservoir but i might be putting an AB speed coolant/oil catch can there soon. just thinking ahead lol. any ideas?
