I want to replace my stock stereo with something better.

Check out a Soundstream amp in the same price range. It's $30 less, has cleaner sound, and has a bit more power. http://www.discountjungle.net/soeg560wa4ch.html
For the speakers, although I haven't heard these in person I'd recommend trying the new high end Soundstreams. I've read that they sound like speakers costing 5x the price and certainly look like they have good performance on paper and decent build quality. I can almost guarantee that they will sound worlds better than the Pioneers.

Yes and no, but I matched you dollar to dollar. You mentioned $62 speakers and those were $80. The sky's the limit on speakers. You can spend up to $1400 a pair. Obviously, I wouldn't recommend speakers that cost tens times as much as what you mentioned because that wouldn't help you at all! 
The speakers that I suggested have the parts of the very expensive speakers. They have a silk dome tweeter, which is what most people look for in components. But if you want components, and it is better since we already have stock mounts for the tweeters, check out these for $220 (see already 3x as much as the others):
