Default how to wire subs

Hi, I was wondering how to wire my subwoofers to my stock headunit. I have the box that allows for RCA connections to the amp. Can someone please explain how to wire this.

The stock head unit has enough trouble powering the stock speakers. I hope that you are using another amp to power the subwoofer. If you are, get Lucids rear channel adapter (which will output the rear channel that presently is not connected to anything). You also need another adapter to convert high input to low input (rca connectors) and connect this to the subwoofer amp.

If you have the adapter to convert high level (speaker) signal to Low Level (RCA) - simply tap into the OEM speaker wires. The line level adapter will have minimal, if any, effect on the power to the existing speakers as the inputs of the adapter are very high impedance.

I agree with JPit - get the Lucid kit and use the Rear speaker leads for the sub amplifier. This will give you some control over the relative gain of the sub AMP from the deck.

Here are the speaker wire color codes:

Power Antenna Signal Yellow/Green (you will need this to turn on your amp - it is already ran to the rear of the car near the antenna)

Right Front Speaker + Green/Black
Right Front Speaker - Light Green

Left Front Speaker + Green/Yellow
Left Front Speaker - Gray/Red
