I didn't blow my sub!
Turns out I just heated up two fuses on my distribution block and they wouldn't work anymore. That explains why the sub amp wasn't getting any power. When those were replaced, it kicked back to life and still hits hard as hell.
So I'd like to give a big booyaw in your face to the dude who keeps dissing Kicker subs. In your ear hole ese. jk

My amp went off completely. My installer told me the fuses weren't "blown", but they got heated up so much that the sauder(sp?) came apart from the fuse and cut all power going to the amp...hence the reason it wouldn't turn on.
I also thought that the sub was blown because it made a crunching noise when I pressed on the cone. My installer quickly corrected me and showed me what I was doing wrong. He showed me on a SoloX 18 he has at the shop that if you press on the cone anywhere but in the center, it will make that noise due to it being uneven. Sure enough, it was smoothe and quiet when i pressed on the center of the cone.
NFRs2000, Kicker subs hate you too. =)
