Been reading about the glare on this unit, is it that untolerable? Is the center knob also positioned in a bad spot so that it's hard to use? Just want some opinions/reviews on this unit before I get one. It's just powering stock speakers, so not too worried about the sound quality.

 

I started with the x305s... great deck... lots of customizations... however when i close the cover, it tends to push on the large knob... even after pushing it as far back as i can... functionality was fine... i always used the modifry adapter for the dash controls.

i swapped to a cda117 (also alpine) just because more customizable for better audio.

 

No fitment issues, glare is tolerable, love the sync and the setup of everything.

thanks guy. I'm trying to decide between the cda-117 and ida-305s right now.

 

I installed my IDA-305s last week. Fits fine. The door doesn't seem to touch the knob.

 

Glare isnt too bad, get Modifry dash controls(so you don't lose your steering wheel control functions)&maybe upgrade to components?

Only issue I have is: the top of my radio door slightly rubbing at the top of vent area when I go to open an close the cover of the radio. Doesn't bother me enough for me having to rip apart the stereo and fixing it.

Other than that love the deck and happy to have my iPod back in my car. I went from a 07 to 05, so I was accustomed to having iPod interface capabilities from the factory.

 

love mine, glare does suck some time with the topdown.
