Ignition wire color
In the ignition harness the colors for an accessory wire or ignition wire are as follow:
Accessory : WHITE/red
Ignition : BLACK/yellow
These wires will be around a 12 gauge (thicker then most wires)
(ALWAYS CHECK YOUR WIRING WITH A VOLTMETER TO VERIFY YOU ARE TAPPING INTO THE CORRECT WIRE)
You can also pull an ignition wire from the fuse panel. I don't know what the fuses are that are on ignition but you can always test them with a voltmeter and find out

Don't tap into a wire - there are accessory terminals in the under-dash fuse box:

Option Connector E - live when the parking lights are on, through fuse 23, 10 amps
Option Connector D - live always, through fuse 42, 40 amps
Option Connector C - live when ignition on (and not cranking) through fuse 42, 40
amps.
All 3 of these connectors are recessed male 1/4" quick-connects, and yes, you should
use an in-line fuse, especially when connecting to D or C.
