Infinity Kappa 65.7cs Install
Hello,
Finally managed to fit my alpine HU in with adaptor, so now moved onto the door speakers.
Ive removed the door panels and old speaker which i then removed from the basket.
I noticed the 65.7cs no where near fit, and before attempting to cut this basket I want to check they will indeed fit.
Component set link - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...:MEWN:IT&ih=014
Once ive cut the basket, do i drill new holes into the basket itself, then screw the basket back in using original holes ?
If anyone has a link to a guide or any tips please let me know, ive tried search but could not find anything on the 65.7cs models.
Cheers

Good aftermarket speakers are typically not a drop-in. You'd need a 1/2" deep ring/baffle to mount the speaker to in order to bring it farther away from the inner door metal, closer to the plastic panel. 1/2" allows one to mount a speaker close to 2.8" or so in depth.

Do use router to cut circles in wood though if you decided to go with a MDF ring. Make sure you also waterproof it with paint, tape or resin. I know someone is also selling after-speaker adapters for the S if you don't have access to the materials to build the ring yourself.
