Default Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 Owners

I recently installed these speakers in my door and have about 100 watts RMS going to them.

My Problem is that when I am playing the music moderate to loud the cone extends and hits the door panel causing distortion. For install I cut out the factory baffle since Lucid took an extensive break with no responses and used the metal ring with the speakers for added clearance. I had to do this so they cleared the window when it is down. Also took the foam off of the door panel.

So my BIG question is what did ya'll do to install them and are you having any clearance issues.

Thank you for your help in advance.

I don't have those speakers, but most will fit fine with spacers made from
3/4" MDF. What's the total spacer thickness you're running (factory basket +
metal ring)?

I have mine mounted on the stock speaker baskets with the bottoms cut out. I have no issues of any kind.

Maybe it has something to do with the ap2 door panel thickness. Because when we tried just doing the basket it didn't clear the window when it was down.

Any AP2's have any clearance issues?

The door structure itself (metal and mechanics) is unchanged from AP1 to AP2s to the best of my knowledge. Something else is going on here.
