Default Info on taking out my 12V plug for repair

I think my socket is broke or something because when I plug in my it charges it everyother time. its not the charger because it works fine in my civic. ALSO, the socket spins freely. If i push on the charger it gets power and then loses it. do you guys knw how to take it apart?

thanks

You have to remove the entire console...which is a major PITA... best to bring it to the dealership

No you don't...you just need small hands, but you can just take off the panel behind the passenger seat, the few screws in the glove box and you can reach back there and tighten it in about 5 minutes. Real easy fix.

I don't think he needs to just tighten anything. Sounds like he needs to repair the electrical connection. Like Dcon67 said, you're gonna need small hands, but it can be done.

You need some chinese fingers and some oragami moves to work on that without ripping apart the whole thing. Good luck!

You might not have to replace anything if all you have is a broken solder joint or wire. You won't know until you get behind the console and get the socket out.
