Default Installation of Raybrig rear fog light

I have a Raybrig rear fog light (R041).....I bought it used. I have the switch and all wires. The previous owner did not install the light himself, but remembers something about splicing it into the taillight or license plate light. Can anyone shed some knowledge on this. . . thanks

Does it run of an independent switch? If so you dont need to tap anything. You can hook it up to any constant 12v supply.

the underdash fuse box has three accessory connectors -
on with lights, on always (constant), on with ignition.
the first seems like a good choice - if you forget to turn off your
fog, it will go off automatically if your lights are off.

(from the UK technical FAQ)
