Thumbs up USA Spec Issues

I went to install the USA Spec Ipod adapter that i bought form crutchfield today, I got everything hooked up and started to jam, but I noticed that one side seemed much louder than the other.

The passenger side is normal volume while the drivers side you can barely hear, even if I fade from side to side it just goes almost completely quiet on the drivers side and stays the same volume if i fade to the passenger side. Could I have hooked up anything wrong that would cause this or is it more than likely a defective cable or box perhaps?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

What connection type are you using to the ipod? are you using the main connection at the bottom of the ipod or the 9mm jack in the top? sometimes the 9mm cords fail and causes sound to only come out of one side of the speakers. try another 9mm cord. hope it helps.

9mm? That's a huge headphone jack! Should be 3.5mm.
