Where do I begin...

Never installed a sub or amp before, so this was definitely an eye opening experience.... Never had a car nice enough to want to be so meticulous hiding all the wires either; my poor poor back.

Everything showed up well packaged, I went with the 800w Sub and 600w Amp w/ Sub Cover. Only complaint is that the "lockdown" pins on the sub cover were both broken when I got them, haven't had a chance to talk to Kinetic and see what they can do yet.

Ran rca's and remote power down the passenger side of the car, power down the drivers... Getting big power wire through the firewall was kind've a pita... I used the grommet to the drivers side fender under the clutch master cyl, lined it up perfect for going through / under the door sill.

I'm running the Alpine CDA-9856 (9857 is in the mail) deck right now...

Sound impressions:

Pros:

Cons:
Can barely hear the motor now (with no cat, no resonator (yeah, it's loud))
Lights (interior,dash,headlights) dim when it hits hard
Uhhh.... Extra weight, I guess.

$500 well spent.

As for the clips... you'll get a new set in the mail. I think I'm just going to ship an extra set with each kit... save myself the time and money of shipping out the new set

The hotness. As for the dimming issue....get an upgraded gel cell deep cycle battery. Will cure most of your dimming issues.

where in the 530 area are you?

i'd like to hear it. it sounds like a nice setup, but all i've been able to base it on is text.

i'm starting my system and have yet to hear another s2k with some aftermarket work. i'd love to hear it especially since my plans are very similar to what you already have in your car.

 

i got the exact same package. my clips were broken too, but a quick pm to John solved that and replacement clips were received in just a few short days. good to hear that you have it all installed.

now the only thing left is to take pics and post!
