Hello. I installed pioneer head unit I bought from best buy and I did installation myself. I matched all the wiring needed with the harness provided and connected everything with wire connectors. I've done this before on my friends my04 and I've done it before on my previous my05 with no problems. My current model year is 2000. I thought everyhig went smoothly but as I'm driving and when I'm at a stop on an idle I start loosing power and the rpms which normally stay around 1000 rpm on idle, goes all the way down to almost zero. Can anyone tell me what went wrong?

 

Assuming the problem is related to the stereo install, I would unhook the harness and go for a drive, double check all the connections. Never assume that the wiring colour is always going to be correct and matching.
