I recently just picked up an AP1 MY01. Tonight was the first time I drove it at night, I noticed my instrument panel (climate controls, radio controls, and etc) won't light up. I have an aftermarket head unit. I have checked the fuses and my reverse lights still work. Any ideas?

 

Are any of the orange wires on the radio harness tied together?

 

Replace the bulbs, I recently had to put 4 new ones in myself.

 

Mine recently went out but I read it sucks to replace so i Just leave it with the one knob dark.

 

I originally didn't hook up any of the orange dimmer wires, but before I headed out to work today, I tried to hook up the dimmer wire to the radio and still no illumination. Could they ALL really be burned?

 

I'm assuming the light in the roof (conv. top) switch is out too as well as the cruise control main light? Do your TAIL lights work? If not, check the taillight relay. It feeds all of the console lights.

Check the manual for the head unit you have and the harness you have. The colors on mine don't match up, perhaps that's your deal.

Just in case someone searches later...

It ended up just being the "Small Light" fuse under the driver's side kick panel. I guess I just overlooked it because it's name. Thanks
