Default Iphone 3g integration suggestions?

I'm still on the factory radio and would like to upgrade to a new deck that can work with my iphone 3g. I'm thinking about getting the Alpine ida-x100 as this seems to be the deck with the most success. However, I'm not sure where I can mount my iphone? Anybody have an iphone/ipod clipped on to somewhere in plain sight?

There are two mounts I can suggest, both from Modifry.

Dash Mount: http://www.modifry.com/products/mounts/mdb.htm
Radio Side Mount: http://www.modifry.com/products/moun...vise/index.htm

Just pick up the squeeze mount for it and you'll have it in plain view for control and visual indications when you get a call. Plus you can watch movies while you drive

+1 for the Modifry bracket. Normally, ProClip is really good too but their S2000 mount is in a really odd place and my right leg kept bumping it.

My iPod lives in the secret compartment. The Alpine iPod cable was routed there.

I use a pro.fit mount. (http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/) for my iPhone 3g. Their 3g bracket is really nice and the mount sticks to the dash perfect. I have used them on other cars and they have never left marks or anything. I have the ultimount v2 and the 3g craddle. It mounts on my dash right next to the all the controls (suction cups to the dash itself).

ps - the alpine x100 is awesome. I have never had a problem with it sync'n and charging my iphone 3g.

Thanks for the suggestions! Which attachment should I purchase in addition to the mounting plate? Is the squeeze mount this? Braketron PH-Mini Universal Phone/PDA/iPod mount"

I'm probably going to pick up the 3" "Standard Bracket". Will this fit the iphone?

I find the Modifry bracket moves too much with the iphone. Can't use dynolicious or PocketDyno with it because it too flimsy.

Ended up going back to the proclip mount.

Why mount? Get something like a Pioneer AVIC900bt. YOu can use the iphone's bluetooth to connect to your head unit, and talk to people though your car stereo.
