ipod cable question
So I bought my AP2 2months ago and it came with a ipod cable installed in the glove box, which is nice cause I can atleast listen to my ipod as well as it gets charged at the same time but my problem/question is that its the kind of cable that syncs the ipod so I can't manually control the ipod to find/pick the song I want to hear, I have to just skip song by song by the stock headunit or switch on the dash (which is annoying as Hell). It just starts at the beginningof the ipod and plays from there. So is there a way to manually pics the song I want VIA ipod the way its hooked up now or is there a aux hookup on the stock deck I can just use a 3.5mm aux cable and run it that way?
You'd have to swap the iPod interface (stock head unit does not have a built-in interface) for an aftermarket AUX in (stock doesn't have one either). Or replace the head unit.
You might want to look at the interface you have and see if you at least have playlist support.
