Thats the problem; mine has no Changer mode as it comes with a single disc player and no tape deck whereas the one in my froends car has a Tape deck ??!!! 
Support in mp3yourcar seems quite bad... Even my order took like 4 days to get confirmation...
Oh well... will definitely let you guys know if i can determine the cause..

did you ever figure out what the problem was with your HU using the NEO iON? i think i have come across the same issue as you.
actually, mine doesn't even play music or even have a connection. i think i might have heard music from my ipod 4 times for 1 second each.
