Thanks all. I am open to anything. After doing some reading myself, it seems like I will go with the dsx-s200x along with the modifry DCI. Is this something not too complicated to install on my own ?

Alpine. They only make one with Pandora support.

I have one, and it is probably the best headunit I've laid my hands on!

Hello,

I am installing the Sony S300btx. Did anyone have an issue with space ? I am having trouble getting the HU (along with all the wires!) to fit inside the small space.

Should i just take it to the dealer to install it ? I tested the audio system, it works/sounds great though!

Thanks

I got a Sony DSX-S200X head unit for Christmas. I installed it yesterday. I installed it with the original mounting plates from the OE head unit. I used a Dremel to grind the 2 alignment nubs off the side of the plates toward the head unit, which allowed me to get the screw holes and plates to line up just right. I used an Axxess Interface unit for the dash controls. I took it to a buddy of mine, who owns the audio store where I got the HU from to do the wiring for me. After watching him, the wiring was straight forward and connection was a breeze...I think could have done it myself, but must admit have peace of mind knowing a professional did the wiring. The head unit slid back in nicely with no issues. I could not be happier with the Sony DSX head unit.
For me, this is the perfect head unit. I really like how Sony DSX works and especially enjoy being able to stow my iPod inside the head unit. It makes for a very clean install. The weather was surprisingly nice here yesterday, so I even got to drop the top and take a cruise with my new stereo blasting my favorite tunes from my iPod. For anyone else looking for a head unit for their S2K, I highly recommend the Sony DSX Series.

u can just plug into the trunk. It's so much easier and doesnt require any tools. i just loop the plug through the vent behind the passenger seat.
