Default ipod issue

Hey guys I have a question and I wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. I plugged my ipod into the alpine ipod cable that is connected to my 9833 deck. It worked fine but now that I have disconnected it will not run and the Alpine screen is the only thing that I can get to come up. I am hoping that once I hook it back up to my laptop the problem will correct itself. Has anyone ever had this problem and have any thoughts. Thanks in advance for your help and have a great Memorial Day weekend everyone.

Try resetting the iPod? What iPod version do you have?

I think it is Gen 3 but i am not 100% sure. How do you reset it? Whenever I have had problems in the past I just plug it into my computer and things seem to get corrected. Thanks for your input.

Try pressing 'menu' and the center button at the same time - hold them down until the apple logo appears. If it doesn't work, toggle the hold switch on and off and try again.

You must hold the buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. The screen will show a big Apple, and then you should be good to go.

If this does not work, try it while connected to USB.

I had the same issue with mine at first. I reset the head unit using the button behind the flip down face and the problem never came back.
