Default Ipod Nano in Dash

Would it be possible (darkknight1999) to mold the plug of an Ipod adapter (Neon) to the dash above the radio right beside the AC controls where it would look like a small dock for the Ipod Nano? It would be nice to have a small cradle in the dash that you could just slide the Nano into and it would be linked to the system, plus it would be so close the gear shift you could just use the controls of the Nano itself. Just asking to see if this seems possible. Thanks.

Well... I suppose it would come down to how you would still use the unit. I'm honestly not sure of the existing input can be used for this newer model. I did a quick search to see and from I read in about 5 minutes not all the adapters are the same.

It can be molded in, I have no doubt about that but making it look right and still being able to get to the controls is something else.

However it can be done. I actually molded one into my partners Impreza. It turned out nice. His wife still has the stock HU for now... for a few different reasons but other wise it looks cool when its in the slot on the top of the dash. We install a dock in the dash. It looks cool. I still need to make a slide door for it so when its in you really can't see it, but his wife has the car all the time... so we haven't finished it yet
