Default Iva-w205 image but no sound... why?

So i am installing an alpine iva-w205 in my wife's mdx.

I connected the pac-7 (or whatever it is called) bypass unit. I powered it up, and the radio starting playing music right away. I then put in a cd, it plays the cd, but no sound. I did the same with a dvd, i can see the image, but no sound.

I am guessing that the bypass is not doing its job well, or i did something wrong. I disconnected the bypass and at that point, the image on the dvd didn't even show up. So i know its working but maybe not 100%.

Can you guys please advise me on what i should do to get the sound when playing cds, dvds.

Thanks,

David

if your using external amplifiers for speakers, maybe you hooked up the remote line to the power antenna, thus only getting sound when on tuner
