The JL Audio website says to use VR600-CSI speakers for the door. But these are 6" speakers not 6.5". Would it be better to get the VR650-CSI since they are 6.5"? I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these two speakers, and knows which fit without modifications. If it matters, I plan on powering them with a JL 300/4 amp.

 

They will fit.. Actully either way the 600 and 650s will fit..

 

Actually if you get the 6.5's you'll need to make a spacer for them as the basket is to wide for the stock ring. I'm not sure about the 6's, I think those ones fit in the stock ring by just cutting out the back of the stock basket... or you can make a new ring instead of cutting up the old one

 

^^^ They fit with the adaptor plate that is included, and cutting the back of the stock basket out.

 

Thanks for the info guys. I will probably just go with the VR600-CSI for now. My tax return should be deposited tomorrow, so it will be time to start ordering stuff. Now if only the Alpine CDA-9857 was already out...
