Default Which components would you get?

I just ordered an Alpine cda-9856 and i was thinking about upgrading those speakers of mine. I have been for the past week reading up on components and reading reviews about the type of brands. I have narrowed my choices to the Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1, the MB Quart PCE-216 and the Alpine SPX-177R. I just can't decide and the spx-177r are somewhat new so i haven't been able to read any reviews on them. What would you get???

Well the 3 speakers you've listed all sound different. You need to go listen to them.
Bring a CD you really like, and hit the road and check them out. Once you decide which one you really like, let me know, because I can get you a good price on them.

If you tell us what kind of music you like, we can suggest which ones you may like, but you really should go to a shop and have a listen.

Dont even consider the Quarts. They are the lowest line of MB Quart, and I personally, dont like any MB Quarts except the Qs. Between the Alpines and the Perfects, thats up to you. The perfects are "higher" and sound a bit more metallic. I personally, like that, and its great for electronic music. The alpines IMHO are not as piercing and are a bit warmer. Not Focal warm, but still. Cymbols and high hats sound better on the perfects, but the bass is a bit better on the Alpines (not enough to shake the car, but still)

Cant go wrong with either. Forget the Quarts tho.

Yes. I think Infinitys are one of the best speakers for digital music. They are very good for high pitch notes (which electronica has a lot of) Focals are more for warmer music....hard to explain......

The Prodigy, Tiesto Oakenfold, and Paul Van Dyk sound better on the Infinitys.

BBKing, Clapton, Chapman, Elton John, are better on the Focals.

This is however, my .0452343 american, and IMHO.

My plan was to build up my car's system up slowly and i was going to start with the speakers. How much could i get those infinity's or alpine components for? I calculated the the infinity perfects on ebay for about 230 +tax and shipping.
