Unhappy Just Bought XM...

Okay... so I was trying to install my XM radio I just bought and realized my power outlet wasn't working after plugging in the DC to it. (not the fuse or the outlet.) So then I went on to the other car I have and installed it. Can anyone tell me how to bypass this 'little' problem so I can install it on the S...? Btw, This is the XM Xpress kit. I'd like to hook it onto something else to where it can gain power without the need of the huge DC.

I think there's multiple fuses that the cig. runs off of. Check all the interior fuses.

did you actually CHANGE the fuse? Just because it 'looks' ok doesnt mean it 'IS' ok.

I dont blame you for not wanting to use the OEM cig lighter plug. Its not in the best location....

Anyways, go to Circuit City and buy a Reverse Cig Lighter plug. It will allow you to plug in your XM power supply and then wire it directly to the fuse box or another 12v Source under the dash. I will be doing this to hardwire my cig lighter plug for my GPS. Also, FYI. The XM unit actually runs off 5 or 6volts. So dont cut off the plug and wire it directly to 12v. That would be bad lol.
