Yes.......door close without any problem. Get the DCI PnP, no need to cut wire and very easy to install.

i had the x100 sold it and now i just bought the x305 so it will be plug and play. I already have the DCI. but I have an '02 and the door was hitting my x100. Is the knob smaller on the x305 so it doesn't contact?

It seems like with the IDAs its a hit or miss because some people they will close fine, and others they will only close and open if you push on a certain spot of the radio door. It didn't seem to be AP1 or AP2 specific either... hmm

I have an x303 and it closes with a little extra push. The knob is just off center by a mm or 2. No real issues though...a little extra push is all it needs.

Ever thought of cutting the radio cover? I might consider it this time around

don't need to cut the cover. the cover Will hit the center knob but would close properly. The knob would be "pressed" if you close the door by the centered top location but would be fine if you close it by the top left corner.

I just posted about a related issue in this thread (getting the HU in all the way), maybe it will address your concern:

Is there anyway to physically mount it back further, so the radio covers fully, without pushing the buttons? or am I asking too much?
