Hi. I was wondering if the JVC HDR-1 headunit is a good unit? I have no clue when it comes to audio. I just found out that the previous owner of s2 installed fosgate 60watt speakers behind the seats. I just hate how the stock headunit has no bass at all. Here is the product

I'm also thinking about purchasing this headunit...people at crutchfield have good things to say about it.

 

I have this unit installed in my 04 S. I got it from Crutchfield when there was a rebate. It was a simple swap with the factory unit. The sound is great and loud enough for my taste. The HD channels come in very clear. My only complaint is the very small buttons but that's more of a general complaint about most aftermarket radios. Overall, I'm very happy with the upgrade over the factory radio especially considering the reasonable price.
