Ok I agreed with a guy ( who did the install on my last car) ( SE-R SpecV) ( and did a pretty good job, my opinion) to finish the install on my car. I am doing this mainly because of the looks and performance of the system.

For 2 amp installation, wiring, a custom box for the sub and a nice beauty borad style professional looking trunk, I am paying $200. I might have to purchase the hardware though like the amp install kits or borads or viynl and stuff.

What do you guys think?

Your only paying $200 bucks for the work your having done in the trunk?? My brother and I are doing all the work and the material alone was just over $400 for my new install... damn that's cheap!

In time my friend in time Patience my young Padawan

The sub box and the cross-over rack are ready for paint. But I need to finish the rear section. I hope to do that by the end of next week.

Well I said 200 for the install and i might have to buy the material needed, so If I wanted to do what you did I would already be $600 by now.

I buy my material from Select Product and other suppliers. I've look and compared the material and the seclect products are a little better and they are always just a call away if you have a question. Once you buy from them they are happy to help you out and talk to you over the phone.

This is how it looks when you use the "ring" from the stock basket.

I have the Kappa 60.5cs component set but didn't get any foam gasket...

When I get my XTC baffles that should be a good gasket against the "ring" hopefully.

I heard that baffles arent that good for sound in car audio.....Phil, care to comment?

For the record, I have never used them and achieved excellent results nonetheless.

I heard if you just cut the bottom of the baffle to release the air they don't affect the speaker. Just protect it from water.
