KCE 865B adapter - anyone tinkered with it?

Not a lot of tinkering possible on this unit. It is completely encapsulated with potting compound.
I keep meaning to try injecting other signals into the jack to see what happens but haven't done that yet. Too much like hard work pulling the stereo all out again.

Just out of interest ByteIt, how often do you actually turn off the stereo. At Winton yesterday was probably the first time that I had turned off my stereo (maybe Winton last year too?! 
).
BTW I also have the KCE-865B but have not tinkered with it - am very happy with the way it functions.
