Default Kenwood and Modifry problem

I got my Kenwood 7028 installed with the Modifry and there is a noticeable sound improvement with the stock speaker(though it could be better).

Now though when I use the "CH" button to advance to the next track on a CD it does nothing. There is a number I see advancing and blinking on the top right of the display but the track does not advance. With the tuner however it does advance to the next station. Is it going to the next MP3 folder or something? Any suggestions?

Modifry unit has a built in function that the Honda one didnt.....it allows you to go BOTH ways on the cd. You must HOLD down the "CH" button, then hit the volume "+" to go up a track and the volume "-" to go down a track. I am pretty sure you hold the CH button......if not, try holding the Audio Contol (big round one), but I think that one is for XM controls.

Actually it is the MODE button simultaneous with the VOL+ or VOL- button that will do it. Thanks.

On another note I found this after a lot of looking and it really helped with the install:

No Problemo....I knew it was one of the two. I could not go out and test prior to posting, as my HU has been sent back for repairs.

Was the HU still under warranty?

I think I might fool with the SRV next and then an IPOD adapter once I finally decide to get one of the little buggers. Interestingly enough my VW has a settable SRV standard with the Monsoon system.

yup. but I did not buy the Best Buy warranty, so they would not just replace it. I had to pull it out, bring it in, and have them ship it to virginia for Alpine to fix it. Oh well. Last time I buy from best Buy for something like this. I now just have the stock HU in until the fixed one comes back in 2-3 weeks.

SRV? Is that short for satellite radio? I have XM in my car. great on the highway, but drops out around town (no repeaters in Tallahassee) and there are a bunch of overhanging trees. It is still worth it.

Sorry I meant "SCV"

Yeah BB is good if you need it now, but online is like 20-40% cheaper.
