if its a factory alarm, my recollection is that its under your seat- check for loose wires...
mine did that, cause i had rammed my hat (i store it under the seat) into the wires and knocked something loose.

Or it could be that those remotes are brand new and have not been program yet. Honda dealer would program them for you for free.

so i went to the honda dealership to check out the situation and they werent any help and their only suggestion was to buy another $80 remote (they thought that the dealer i bought my car from gave me remotes to a civic or something) anyway, in a last ditch effort before i went back to the original dealer ( a jeep dealership that would have been no help anyway) i unpugged the main wire harness from the brain of the alarm (maybe to reset it?) and waited a couple of minutes. i then crossed my fingers, said a little prayer and plugged the SOB back in. IT WORKS! thanks for the suggestions

That's a tricky little @#$%. The green main cable that goes into the "brain" has a little tab on the bottom of it that you have to press and then pull the plug out simultanously. Not that hard, but mine has a little cover that flips off (appears to hold all the wires in the plug) that comes lose too easily. I kept messing with that thinking that it had something to do with whatever wouldn't allow me to pull the harness loose. Beware. It has NOTHING to do with it!!! lol.

Finally, though, it worked. Had to reprogram my remote using the factory alarm manual afterwards, but all is well.

This site rocks.
