Kicker L7, Rockford HE2, or Elemental Design 8" sub?
I'm looking to get a single WLaurent sub enclosure for the passenger side cavity in the trunk. Which sub will sound the best with about 240~300w RMS fed to it? I mostly listen to R&B, so I'm not looking for seimic bass. I just want to be able to hear and feel it @ 80 w/ top down.
Thanks

I enjoy the sound of the A series. It really is in a different class SQ-wise when compared to the other ones you have listed
If they made an 8" Brahma, I'd recommend that
But until then, there isn't a better 8 on the market whose depth will work with a WLaurent enclosure.

keep in mind the E8A is a special order WLAURENT enclosure (you have to send the sub directly to him for proper fit).
i love mine though, it has wonderful SQ, but it won't give you the max volume like the L7.

yeah... the L7 = boom. loud, but mechanical.
but for a good sound quality and deep bass, i don't think you can really find a much better sub for the money than the e8A. i love mine, and it really does provide the exact low fill that i needed/wanted. i had doubts at first, but after a few weeks it developed a much stronger sound.
you will have to send it to William for custom fitting though, as the e8a is a tight fit in that enclosure.
also, be aware that as of now, that due to the e8A's massive excursion, there really is no speaker grill on the market that will adequately work w/ the e8A. William is working on one, but it isn't finished yet.
here's my old signature w/ a shot of the e8A in William's enclosure. i'm feeding mine close to 450Wrms, which is more than probably needed...
