Did you catch her in the act? If so, did you beat the guy down? Sorry for your troubles
If my girl were to do something like that, I would love to catch her in the act
That would be so great.

Any hope for this still? I just want a date that it will be mailed by, I don't care if it's 4 weeks in the future, if it's going to be met.
He needs to be more conservative on his shipping estimates maybe?
I called him again earlier today, and I left a message. I will post if I can get ahold of him, or if he calls me back. I dont know if he took a vacation over the 4th or not, so he might not be back (my parents are JUSt getting back today from their vacation). I have talked to him several times via phone, so I am almost positive everything is almost done, if not done already, and he just needs to ship....
You might want to give him a call as well. He posted his number earlier....
Let me know what you get.
Thanks
John
It's easy to say "chin up John" when he doesn't have more than $1000 of your money.
I paid for products and services; I never pay people to be my friend. As far as I'm concerned, I am a customer and he is a vendor. If John would like to continue selling his products on this board, he should stand by his professional obligations regardless of what is happening in his personal life or at least have the courtesy to tell his customers what the story is. I shouldn't have to get an update from fellow disgruntled customers on a forum that I don't check that regularly.
I'm all for a little leeway due to the community nature of this board, but I have never waited 9 weeks for any product I have ever purchased (including my S). The rest of my system has been sitting in boxes in the living room since April waiting for my 2 amps and sub to show up and the summer is half over. I guess I could wait indefinitely. I might not get my stuff until December, but hey, at least he'd put me on his Christmas card list, right? Which is all I really wanted in the first place, a new internet friend...
I will attempt to contact him again, and if I again do not have a response I will pursue legal action.

My whole theory is that he already has the money, and getting pissed at him is probably not going to help the situation (especially if you piss him off, then you are screwed). Best you can do is wait and hope he will come through. Sounds like a crappy solution, but it is all you can do when you are doing business this far apart... Timing and communication always need to be flexible, but I do agree that he does need to stick to the dates he gives, even if he has to give overly conservative dates...John
The whole situation sucks for both customer and vendor. I doubt John's intentions were to screw anyone over and I am sure he will get it straightened out.
John - Good luck with you tough situation. Both personal and Business.

There are actually 2 huge things that are taking a dump on his life right now, we all now about one, and I cannot discuss the other (unless he OK's it), as it is also personal in nature. If he posts it up, I will confirm if it is the one I am thinking of...Best of luck and my prayers are with you and your's, John... But please give me a call

no, have not asked John for a refund because he has not yet responded to my email.
jwa4378, you have the patience of a saint. My main peeve is that John is depending on my personal leeway for a business transaction. I don't know him at all. Not that I think this is the case, but if everyone on this forum was in on it to dupe an unsuspecting few, I'd be out $1k indefinitely because I decided to be a nice guy.
if a friend came to me and said, I can't deliver and here's why, I would say, no problem, take as long as you need. John is essentially asking for that personal courtesy but not giving his customers the reason even via email. I understand that it's just a sub...and it's just music, but that's the business he's in. If it were 100,000 flexi-straws instead I'd still either be trying to get the product or the cash back, b/c that's what he's selling me. I can also understand how it's a gray area because there are those on this board who do actually know him and are prepared to give him time and space to do what he needs to do, but to me he is essentially a stranger.
anyway, I'm sick of talking about this....just venting b/c I'm pissed. at this point I'll still take the product but eventually I'll just want my money back.
