Default Lights in footwells...again (MacGyver?)

Okay, so having been in the hospital for about 3 months I've come up with some crazy ideas. I've also had some pretty wacked out dreams involving monkeys that speak Spanish (which I failed in school).

Anyway back on topic, the goal was to have 2 sets of lights in the footwells of a vehicle (colour X [red] and Y [white]), no toggle switches, and function as follows. Colour X would operate when the headlights come on/when the door is open. Colour Y would operate when the turn signal/hazards are used (driver side with left turn signal, pass side w/ right). Also, when hazards are on and the doors are open, colour X and Y would alternate. Not be on at the same time. I hope that made sense?

I'll try to summerize
Headlights off/door closed and turn signal/hazard on = Just flashing white on and off with turn signal/hazard
Headlight on/door open and turn signal/hazard on= Alternate red and white with turn signal/hazard
Headlight on/door open and turn signal/hazard off = Red
Headlights off, door Shut, Turn signal off = No light

Here's the diagram a friend of mine came up with. Think it'll work?

I'm not sure, but that set-up might get messed up if the turn signals come on when the headlights are on. Can someone verify (either my assumption is correct or that they come on w/ headlights)

wouldnt that just mean that the one set would stay on (because the headlights are on), and the other would blink with the turn signals?

The plan was to have them alternate colours when the headlights are on and the turn signal is used. One colour goes off (connected to headlights) and the other colour comes on when the turn signal does. Basically, both colours aren't on at the same time.

you would need another set of relays... in order to cut power out when the headlight is turned on ... to the other LED.... PM me if ya need assistance... you would have to wire the relay up like a started kill and split the wire in half coming out of the headlight switch.... so this way ... when your turn signals blink... your other LED for the headlights... will shut off...
