i really like the idea of the usaspec unit. the only problem is that i dont have the cd changer lead in the spare tyre compartment. is it easy enough to take the head unit out and plug it straight in there, bearing in mind my car is a 2002 model, which i believe is a different head unit.

I don't have any exposure to this product, so you'll have to research its quality on your own.

Are you sure you don't have a cd changer connector? I don't see why they would leave that out. I think mine was taped to the roof of the spare tire compartment, to the left. I had to hunt for it. It definitely wasn't visible with a cursory glance. But maybe the 2002's are different.

 

if anybody can find the link to the thread with pics on installing through the spare tire area, cd changer, please post a link. i have been searching and can not find it.
