Philip - as with driving the S2000, its all about the journey and nothing really to do with the destination. Keep reading my good man, just enjoy the ride.

Pikka,

If you're looking for a grill, lemme ask Schuey over at ECA what he used.

If I remember, the Lotus is slightly oversized 10. He came up with a little slick magnet thingie that held the grill to the woofer.

Lemme find the link for you...I think he got it at Parts Express...

LOL, I dont know what the secret is, but I wish I knew. Its all about the lace!

Anyways, I do keep my trunk monkey fed, 2 times a day, and he stays well hydrated. I just got him some rare bananas for christmas, and I took him to the zoo the other day, he shouldnt have any reason to be mad at me!!! Damm tempermental trunk monkeys. In my last car, my last monkey got arrested for indicent exposure, he jumped out and flashed the car behind us.

As for the fishman grill, I didnt really like the way it looked, and was worried it would not fit right. Any other ideas for a grille?

Im still very confused as to whats damaging my sub??????? Well at this point, as long as the sub does not blow up, I dont mind. Too much of a hassle to put a new cone on.

Hmm, could it have anything to do with the RMS on the sub being 400 watts, and Im running about 600 watts to it. SEAS is telling me there is nothing behind the cone that will cause dmg to it. I watched the sub last night, and it never really clipped or distorted, a note here and there, but nothing that would be detrimental to the sub. HELP!

It's cant be the power handling of the subwoofer because that would only affect the coil's temperature and possibly the spider ripping. Though Nothing in the motor assembly would cause the dimples. Most likely something is hitting the cone. As to what's hitting it, who knows.

Im starting to believe more and more that it might be a trunk monkey at this point.

Well im more concerned at this point about reliability of the sub than looks.

As for you guys helping me with a grill solution, im prefer something that will cover the sub entirely, so that I can see the dimples, like a mesh or close knit grill.

Hmm look like exactly what I want. But also looks like it wont fit. Does anyone know if it will fit the LOTUS.

Johny is this the one Schuey used with that magnet mount you talked about. Let me know.

Its definetely the victoria secret bag. The corners of the bag are able to reach down to the sub (remeber, the sub moves up when it hits) and the rips looks like the work of the corners of the bag.

However, if you dont care about the looks, and the performance didnt suffer (I dont think it would)...just leave it.

If I was a bettin man, Id put $1000 on the bag.

P.S. You and I both know that no little dinky victoria secret bag would ever damage the Alpha 810. I had a box that had a vice sitting on it once, and nothing ever happened. Thatll teach you to be a traitor!
