make the ratleing stop
my rear panel ratles everytime the sub hits the one thats under the convertible top. has anyone else encountered this problem, i tried dynamat and it doesnt seem to work, but it does not ratle when the top is down which is good. what to do? anyone with suggestions, please help.
There has been a lot of discussion on this issue in the past. Try doing a search.
Basically, you can try one of the following till you get rid of the rattles:
* Push the pannel upwards from below by sticking something between the pannel and the car's body underneath.
* Remove the pannel and re-install it with some sort of rubber around the edges.
* Vent the pannel by drilling holes in it, could try shaping them like speaker grills and cover them with speaker cloth.
* Remove the pannel. Period.
Removing/re-installing the pannels is easy, I posted directions from "jzr" in a post not too long ago. If you cannot find it let me know.
Good luck!
PS: Just remember, the pannel is actually 2 pieces, the big one the the small one towards the top.
