Default Removing Roof well

Okay, I've been fiddling with this dang thing for the past day, and cant figure out how to remove the plastic roof well to let more bass into the cabin. I've removed all the fasteners from the inside, and have removed the couple from the trunk. But can't seem to get the dang thing out. (I'm not using any force to remove it.)

My questions are:

1. DO you remove it by pulling from the inside? or by pushing up from the trunk?
2. DOES it require a lot of force (I'm afraid of breaking things)
3. IS there any easy way to remove it.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I removed my roof well to allow the bass to flow better and to get rid of some rattling. Go back and make sure that all of the fasteners are removed. Don't forget that you are going to have to remove the back panel as well as the roof well (or at least before). You shouldn't have to force anything after you take off all the fasteners. Tug on it gently and get an idea of where it's still attached.

Hope this helps.

I popped mine out and it was a pain in the @ss. It's not 1 piece. There are 2 pieces. The tub itself and the strip that lines the bottom of the window. First, you have to tug on that strip, it should snap off. Then, from inside the trunk, look for the white clips, use a needlenose plier to push them up. Then, from the inside of the car, pull the tub up. This may take some force to do.

Douglas2000-

Awesome advice!!! I finally got the thing out. I pulled that strip off first. Then I ended up pulling the well through the trunk (with a little bending and maneuvering) Now that I know how, it shouldn't take too long. BUT DAMM did it take a long time to figure out

I forgot to ask. What did you put in place of the well? Did you leave it uncovered, or did you put some kind of fabric over it? I kind of don't like the fact that you can see into the trunk.

I just used the carpeting they sold for sub enclosures to cover that area.
