Default MB Quart Components?

I'm looking to upgrade my speakers and add an amp to my '03 S2K and want the best possible. I hear that MB Quart is great. I was thinking of getting the MB QUART QM218.61Q 6.5" Components . First, are these good? Second, will these fit my car with no modifications or should I buy smaller components? I want to add a great amp too, any suggestions? Let me know fellas!

I got the 5.25 PSCs (I think they are a step down from the Q series but I'm not sure) in my S and they sound great at ANY speed...top up or down. Not a lot of bass but the highs are unbelievably clear. I tried to get the 6.5s but I was told they wouldn't fit. Now I think Lucid sells adapters to make 6.5s fit. You might want to PM him to see if they'd work with the MBQs.

As far as the amp, I have a Kenwood eXcelon 75x2 and it seems to get the job done with no problems.

Sorry I have no specific model #s off the top of my head.

BTW, I have my tweeters mounted in the A-pillars ('01=no door mounted tweets). If you put them in the stock location vice in the pillars you should get better imaging and be even happier than me.

These will fit but you will require Lucid's 6.5" addapters. I have an older version of the same (QM 216.03) installed in MY02. The tweeters simply replaced the stock tweeters using the stock hardware. The X-over mounted in the backet inside the door panel. With the Lucid addapters the woffers droped right in.

I love it.
