Default Modifry DCI Volume button control problem

Hey all,

Installed a modifry DCI about 1.5 yrs ago and about 6 months ago my volume controls starting go crazy and not when i press volume up.. it changes sources and when I press volume down it turns the volume up.. i finally pulled it out thinking that the switches got changed or something and I double checked everything to the install instructions on modifry.com... and cant get it to work right??

I have a pioneer radio, does anyone know if I may have changed a setting on my radio one day that did this? any ideas?

thanks

The dash switch works by grounding the wire through different resisters - the DCI
measures the resistance and decides which button(s) you've pushed.
As you can see on Modifry's tech page, it looks as though the DCI sees more
resistance than it should. It could be a bad DCI, or it could be a bad splice or other
connection in a DCI wire causing additional resistance.
You can troubleshoot using the ohm setting on a multimeter.

So which wire specifically should i pay attention to that may be causing this? I will go back and check that one closely. Ground wire? or one of the colors?

the DCI green wire is the one that leads to the dash switch and is the
most likely culprit.
