Modifry wired DCI help for pioneer

Thanks Modifry!! That's all I need. So why are you other people unplugging the feature when Modifry tells you how to trun it off? Or did you just not know how? Curious?

Just to clarify -- I do have the speed->volume control hooked up (which is trivial to do) but ended up toggling it off as Modifry documented because my Pioneer DEHP80MP beeps at every volume up/down and it was driving me crazy.

Last night, I spent an hour waiting in the car for my son and during that time went through the entire Pioneer manual as well as all of the available programmable features. I could find no way, documented or undocumented, to turn off the control beep.

Although I would have liked the speed->volume control, it is not that big of a deal for me. This HU has some sort of noise->volume capability which I have turned on (can't really tell a difference so far) and it works well enough overall to make me very happy. In fact, a more pressing issue for me would be to figure out how to really equalize the thing properly....
