modifry wired dci problem
Hi-
I'm hoping someone on here can help me solve my problem before I contact Bob.
Anyway, I just installed a dci wired interface with the PNP harness for my alpine ida-x305 and it is not working.
The mute button works since it's hard wired, but no other buttons work.
I have verified that the dci module is receiving the 12V.
I have also verified the voltages coming out of the green dash wired with the various button presses as specified in modifry's tech troubleshooting located at:
http://modifry.com/products/dci/tech.htm
The only other thing I can guess is that the wired plug may have a problem. I have taken it in and out of the back of the receiver numerous to make sure I'm plugging it in all the way, but the dci still does not control the receiver.
Anyway, I'd appreciate any help/suggestions someone can offer to help me get this thing working.
Thanks,
Sandy.

yeah, i played with those too. Had them 1-0ff, 2-On, 3-On, 4-On, which is what it should be for the alpine(pins 3&4 on). Even tried other combos to see if it would control something but no luck.
thanks for the suggestion though.

I only have 4 switches not 8. Mine is a dci-2, so maybe there's less switches on the newer version?
In either case, I have tried to "reverse" them but still no go. I guess I will have to wait to see what Bob can suggest.
Thanks,
Sandy.
