Default Monkeybutt! What length wire did you all need?

tweets in stock location, amp around tool well. i guessed 30', and today received it and laid it on the car (cant install--havent received speakers). so far it doesnt seem to be adequate

maybe i can put the amp in the spare tire well, x-overs in the door, and save a few ft, but i have a feeling i might have to wait for another shipment or use mismatched, back-up ratshack wires

You need 2x the speaker wire if you keep the crossovers in the trunk. If you leave them in the door, you should be ok.......but just.

Use a 4 conductor wire if your installing the crossovers in the trunk.

Wait wait....3 meters each door? Where are the wires going, to the headunit, or to the trunk? 9 feet is not nearly enough to reach the trunk from the door.

no, head unit to the doors, and back to the windscreen pillars for the tweeters

i picked up some OFC 18gauge non-twisted speaker cables for bedroom speakers

figured i can take some spare of that and use it to run between x-over, woofer, and tweeters since theyre short run and theres no/little interference source in the wall

so i only require the thicker 14g twisted cable to go from amp to tweeter... though it still might be a close-call!

1) did yall run the speaker wires down center console or right door sill?
2) whered you cross the left side speaker line (to ride side of car)... down across the footwell or closer to the firewall ?
