Default More bass please!

I recently became the proud owner of an Alpine CDA-9815 HU. Now, while it sounds "cleaner" than the stock deck, I want to do some speaker upgrades to add the bass that I'm lacking.

My dealer says that fitting a sub in the boot may not be particularly efficient given the bulkhead that runs from front to back so I started thinking what else I could do.

It looks like I'll be adding a Genesis Stereo 60 amp (nice and small, don't want overkill here - just sound quality with a wide frequency range) and Genesis Audiophile components in the front to replace the stock speakers... But they only go down to 65Hz. So I'd still like sub bass if poss, has anyone tried mount small sub speakers in the panels behind the seats? Would they fit? How much free depth is behind those panels?

I haven't seen anybody mount subs behind the seats, I don't think there would be enough room to do it. Mounting sub in the trunk will fine. Plenty of S owners have put subs in the trunk and have positive results with it. Do a Search and I'm sure you'll find many installs with the sub in the trunk.

He has never heard one. As long as you have an amp to push it, a 10", 2 8s" will do the trick just fine.
