Default Motion sensor for Alarm? If so....Where?

Hi All,

I was looking at adding a motion sensor to my current alarm system to protect it while the top is down.

I wanted to see what everyone else was using, and where is the best location for the sensor.

I would most likely turn the sensitivity down to a very small bubble so not to annoy the neighbors

Thanks
Bill

What kind of alarm do you have now? Almost every company offers a prixomity sensor.

i have a clifford matrix 3 with a prox/motion sensor in the center console. as for the sensativity, there are two zones. one is just a chirp warning and the other sets off the alarm. it just takes some playing with to get it set perfectly. stop into best buy they have them in stock.

Most of you say center console. I was under the impression that metal would affect it. Is that ture? Or are you referring to the rear center console under the pocket?

I would be using the DEI radar sensor.

Thanks Again

right underneath the arm rest portion of the center console. there is a deep area in there where it fits perfectly. No issues with the metal.

i had a little problem with the metal but as long as you adjust it correctly you can make it work fine.
